My final posting!

I have to say that I have found Licence2testdrive a very worthwhile experience. Everything that I have read about, discovered and explored on Licence2testdrive has been new to me and definately a big learning curve. I admit that at times I have been very frustrated and a little fed up with the whole thing, mostly due to time restraints (I don't think an hour a fortnight is anywhere near enough time to understand and conquer each of these lessons). I also admit to being a little overwhelmed by the number of usernames and passwords ...... but I am glad to have taken part in this program and grateful to have been allowed the opportunity during work hours to complete the lessons (with a little work completed in my own time too!!!). Although I am far from being an expert at any of these technologies or applications I am happy and more confident to now have some understanding and knowledge about what they are and how they work!!!

Thank you for opening my eyes to the world of technology!!!!!

LibraryThing

This is brilliant and so easy to use. Definately a site worth discovering!

Social Bookmarking

I love it!!!! I think this is my favourite part of Licence2testdrive. I can think of so many uses for Libraries ..........homework helpers, reference enquiries, family history, local studies ..... the list goes on.

I really like the 'AskNow Useful resources on the web' site. This is the first one of its kind that I have looked at and I think its great. I found the homework tag really useful.

I can see how a delicious account would also be very useful in our personal lives. My husband bookmarks a lot of sites on our home computer. We had computer trouble recently and had to wipe the memory of our computer (including all of my husbands bookmarks!!). After reading about the delicious site I mentioned it to my husband who is equally as impressed about the idea. He will be setting one up himself very soon and will never lose his bookmarks again!!!

RSS Feeds

I have created my own account in Bloglines. I must say I had quite a bit of trouble with this one. I couldn't work out how to link the feeds properly. I think it is a really great idea though and can see how it would be a real time saver.
I have joined Facebook. It is not something I ever thought I would join, however I was slightly curious about it. I found a few friends pages which was interesting. Personally though I do not have the time for it. Great idea for the Library to have a Facebook page though to advertise up and coming events etc.

I have just looked at Wikipedia for the very first time and found it full of interesting facts. Not a lot about the Beerwah area though.
I also thought the Book Lovers wiki was a very clever concept. I think a wiki would work well for Book Clubs so that members can easily discuss and follow what other members thoughts are about the books that they are reading.

Ord River - Near Kununurra WA

My husband and I spent a week in Kununurra during our trip around Australia and really loved the place!!! The scenery is spectacular, and the river system and farmlands are really something unique. I would really recommend a flight over the area as so much of it can really only be appreciated from above. We did a joyflight which took us over Lake Argyle, the Argyle Diamond Mine, the Bungle Bungles and of course Kununurra township and farmlands. It was a very memorable experience! Definately a place worth visiting! And don't forget to sample the local fruit!!

This is my blog for Test drive #2. I love Online Photo Sharing!!! There are some amazing photo's out there! I found the image above on Flickr.
